My Alien Plasma

Image
My Alien Plasma I made two digital artworks, each with a different approach. The first, Alien Plasma Neo, uses advanced digital editing to show a highly detailed energy being. The second, Plasma Alien, is a gestural painting that focuses on raw emotion. My interest in the 'energy being' theme comes from a lifelong curiosity about forces and life forms beyond what we usually see. I find energies and unseen phenomena fascinating because they represent transformation, vitality, and the mystery at the centre of my creativity. I want to explore how to visually convey inner power and life force, using both digital tools and painting techniques. I like experimenting with different tools to change an artwork. Comparing these two pieces shows how my intent shifts, much as a traditional artist might try out new media and methods. Alien Plasma Neo My first piece, Alien Plasma Neo, was all about hyper-definition and symmetry. I wanted to show this being at its highest energy, even down t...

Ubud It happens in this time.

It happens in this time. Within all of this hassell and bustle, there is peace to be found. It matters that our approach of founding is addressed. If we don't walk so fast,  if our minds are rested. We will have found this, where and whenever we intend understanding. Time were ritual is small,  place where space is eternal. There is a pattern to making sense. Personalised and collective. Forget the calling of the influential and competitive. Forget the combatants. Attempt to day dream. Fall over the drawn line. Re-position and let each door open wide. So much to see in so many small spaces. A universe in each unearthed cavity. There are many gods who nonsensically watch us. All whispering whilst we restrictively rant. They have privileged loss. They have fallen from superiority to obscurity. Their stories are silent whilst we are glorious in distraction. Fall with them, dream with them,  be at mind with them. Within each fall, the...

Love of Learning Skills

Image
Schools are responsible to endeavouring students a love of and the skills to participate in lifelong learning. Our students need to view schooling as a continuum rather that a series of disconnected adjuncts and to learn socially acceptable learning behaviours to participate within the globalised digital economy. Our learning services need to remain open, connected with society, embrace transformation of behaviour , as well as entice, excite and engage learning. Bill Clinton highlights the important role of schools in developing a lifetime love of learning - ‘ Your brain is a gift and we now know that people well into their late 60s and 70s can form new neural networks’ ‘by learning something new’ (Clinton YouTube video 2014)    It is important that educational leaders make sense of what a job-hopping career and extended life spans actually substantiate, how T-12 schooling dovetails within lifelong learning and how eLearning can embrace a life of self-transfor...
