  The Waiting Room In an instant, the focus shifts from the room's external chaos to the person's internal friction as they wait. Here, the energy isn't just swirling around the figure; it’s soaking into him. He’s caught in that classic hand-to-chin pose, as a signal of a mind that has turned inward because the outside world has nothing left to offer but time. His face is a map of shadows, eyes fixed on a horizon we can’t see, illustrating that specific kind of solitude you find in a crowd. The magenta light returns, bleeding into the white of his shirt and the skin of his hands like a restless heat. It’s a visual pulse that suggests that while he looks bone-still, he’s actually vibrating with an emotional intensity. Behind him, a second figure is submerged in shadow, a reminder that waiting is a shared human sentence, yet we each serve it in our own private silos. Participatory Learning
There is no question of whether teaching and learning via online environments is a priority. The actual question is related to the implementation of participatory online learning environments.


The employment of ICT in society is moving from a technical application that enables interaction with knowledge to a cultural expression of participation. Today's students are immersed within the internet technologies. On large their preferences are to be ‘Connected and Mobile’. Their interfaces are built on ‘personalisation’. Their online participatory environments include social media, media rich creation sites, media flow platforms and game based collaboration.

The employment of traditional teaching and learning practices are increasingly becoming less effective at engaging students and motivating achievement. Successful 21st Century educators are those who can learn how to, partake within and create participatory based online learning environments.

  Drifting Clouds between Hong Kong and Guangzhou When I was suspended in that atmospheric corridor between Hong Kong and Guangzhou, I was struck by how the sky felt like a turbulent yet tender expanse. I wanted my watercolour strokes to blend and blur on the paper, mimicking the ever-shifting weather patterns of the region. That is of moisture-laden clouds dissolve effortlessly into brilliant, open patches of blue. For me, this piece is an impressionistic echo of that flight. I was trying to capture that fleeting, weightless moment of looking out into a vast horizon, right when the heavens feel both endlessly deep and close enough to touch.
