  The Unyielding Scar - Energy Critical Subi's blue light flickered: "Energy critical, Katcha." BK trembled, JB slumped. Katcha, grim, ordered: "Scan near Delta-Nine's black scar transition!" Her mind pushed Subi's failing sensors. Their combined instinct and AI strained for an unmapped station. If Subi failed, their course would vanish, and Katcha's purpose would be lost. The "station" was uncharted; their desperate synergy, a shield against the encroaching cold. Cycles continued to bleed away, swallowed by the arterial choke of Delta-Nine. Each pulse of the cosmic highway felt less like progress, more like a draining beat against their dwindling reserves. Katcha knew no "stop and revive" existed at the Necropolis Corridor's hazardous entry, but her mind, intertwined with Subi, sought an unmapped anomaly.
